Here at FantasySP, we realize that your fantasy teams are important. We’ve created trade analyzers to help evaluate trades and team analyzers to help evaluate and compare teams against the world. Fantasy League Breakdowns utilizes the team analyzer’s engine to evaluate and compare each team in your fantasy league over the course of the season. We chart the ratings of each team in your league so you can see how they have progressed throughout the season.
Fantasy League Breakdowns are available for the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. Analysis happens automatically once your fantasy team is synced. Click on “My Teams” in your user panel to access your league analysis.
You can share league or team links with friends so they can have some context on how awesome (or terrible) your team is compared to the rest of the pack. Let me show you an example using my “FantasySP.com Baseball” fantasy league:
As you can see, according to the latest ratings “Dirty Sanchezes” is ranked first with 339.04 points. Each team has a “Min”, “Max”, and “Diff”. The “min” is the minimum point score your team has achieved, and the “max” is the maximum. The “Diff” shows the difference between the two so you can see how much each team rating fluctuates throughout the season. Is your team consistently good or did you have to claw your way back to the top via free agency? You’ll notice that each team has its own link, so let’s see what we find:
We have a graph and roster analysis of the team. Mouse over the point’s next to each name for a breakdown or the graphs for scoring breakdowns. So far only 4 days of ratings have been collected to create the graph. Over time this graph will be much more interesting as your team’s rating fluctuates. The black line shows the worst rating in the league and the blue shows the best team rating in the league. According to this chart, team “Newbies” is among the league’s best teams as of today.
Interestingly enough, we see that team “Newbies” has a sharp increase in rating. Why the increase? It turns out that they just completed a lopsided trade with team “FantasySP.com“. (I smell insider trading!) Their graph has a sharp decline in rating, which coincides with “Newbies” increase.
So how accurate are these ratings? Let’s find out:
You’ll notice right away that “Newbies” record is good at 11-7 and is close to the league lead in points. According to the league ratings we just looked at, “Newbies” is the 2nd best team. While their record may not be the best, they are certainly worthy of being in the top 3 best teams in the league.
So does Fantasy League Breakdowns provide accurate and helpful analysis? You tell me.
